Common questions
Getting online
How do I install my eSIM?
iPhone (iOS 17.4+): open your confirmation email on another device and tap the install link, or Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → scan the QR code.
Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM → scan the QR code. Wording varies slightly by brand.
Install on Wi-Fi before you travel — you'll be ready the moment you land.

My eSIM won't connect after landing
Turn the eSIM's line on in Settings and switch on Data Roaming for it (roaming is how a travel eSIM works — it won't touch your home plan or bill). Then toggle Airplane mode off and on. Still nothing after a few minutes? Restart the phone, and check your remaining data on your eSIM page.
Does it keep my normal phone number?
Yes. The travel eSIM is a second line for data only — your home SIM stays active for calls and texts on your usual number. Set the travel eSIM as your data line and leave your home line on for calls (turn its roaming off to avoid home-carrier charges).
Is my phone compatible?
You need an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone — most iPhones since XR/XS and recent Google Pixel, Samsung Galaxy S/Note/Z and similar. If your phone can add an eSIM in Settings and isn't locked to a carrier, you're good.
Which countries does a plan cover?
Every plan lists its exact coverage on the destination page. Country plans cover one country; region plans cover a curated list of countries — pick your countries and we show the cheapest plan that covers all of them. Browse from Destinations .
When does my data expire?
Each plan has a fixed validity in days, shown before you buy. Your Find your eSIM page shows the exact expiry date once it's active. When it lapses, buy a fresh plan — the same eSIM can be reused.
Data & top-ups
Can I add more data?
Yes — open your eSIM page and choose a top-up. It's added to the same eSIM, so there's nothing to re-install. On managed data it tops up automatically within your budget.
How do I check how much data is left?
Open your eSIM page (the Find your eSIM box above, or your account) — it shows remaining data live and updates as you use it.
What is managed data?
Set a budget once and an algorithm buys data as you travel, sized to your real usage, and refunds whatever's left at the end. Every buy is shown live on your dashboard and emailed, and it can never spend past your cap. It needs an account. Start one from Managed data .
Payments & prices
What does a plan cost?
One honest price per plan, shown in your own currency — no coupons, no sales, no charm-priced 9.90s. What you see is what everyone pays at that moment. Prices only move when the underlying market does.
Which currencies and payment methods do you take?
We price in CHF, EUR, GBP and USD — switch currency in the header, and we always charge in the one you see, never a surprise conversion. Payment runs through Stripe: any major debit/credit card, plus Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device supports them.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Checkout is handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. Taxes are calculated and shown at checkout.
Do I get a receipt?
Yes — a receipt lands in your email with the eSIM, alongside the QR code and install steps.
How do refunds work?
For managed data, we auto-refund your unused budget to the original card after your trip. For one-off plans, see the refund policy — if something went wrong provisioning, email us and we'll make it right.
Account & sign-in
Do I need an account to buy?
No — you can buy a one-off plan as a guest and get your eSIM by email in seconds. An account is only required for managed data . Signing in just lets you track and top up your eSIMs in one place.
What is a passkey and how do I sign in?
A passkey signs you in with your fingerprint, face or device PIN — no password to remember or leak. Your device stores it securely. On a device or browser without a passkey, we email you a one-time code instead. Sign in from here .
I lost my passkey / got a new phone
Use the emailed one-time code to sign in on the new device, then add a fresh passkey from your account . You can keep several passkeys and remove old ones there.
Can I change my email or delete my account?
Yes — both live in your account settings : change your email, manage passkeys, or delete your account and its data.
